In recent years, laser therapies have become established for cosmetic problem areas such as excessive hair growth, pigmentation and age spots, spider veins, acne, and wrinkle treatment. Untreated tissue is preserved to the maximum extent because laser treatments involve short exposure times and high specificity. At the Urania Practice Clinic, gentle radiofrequency methods are increasingly used as an alternative to lasers.

PERMANENT HAIR REMOVAL
During permanent hair removal, the hair absorbs energy from the laser irradiation. This energy is converted into heat, which destroys the hair follicle. The treatment is performed without anesthesia and is therefore not completely painless. Usually, up to five sessions are needed for optimal results. Only hairs that are in the growth phase at the time of treatment can be destroyed per session.
PIGMENT SPOTS | AGE SPOTS | TATTOOS
Laser light can break down pigment particles into such tiny fragments that they can be transported away by the cells of our immune system. This treatment must be repeated several times with intervals of several weeks.
VESSEL MALFORMATIONS | SPIDER VEINS | PORT WINE STAINS
Couperose, port wine stains, and spider veins are caused by dilated blood vessels, so-called capillaries. These can be easily and effectively closed off using laser light.
ACNE
Radiofrequency devices are increasingly used in the treatment of acute and chronic acne. The main advantage of this method is that lengthy medication treatments with corresponding side effects can be avoided.
WRINKLE TREATMENT | REJUVENATION | RESURFACING
Skin rejuvenation, known as rejuvenation, in wrinkle treatment is achieved by stimulating new collagen formation through the laser’s light energy and the electrical energy of radiofrequency devices. This tightens, rejuvenates, and improves the skin’s elasticity. Besides all skin areas, these methods can specifically target wrinkles around the upper lip and eyelids, crow’s feet, and fine lines on the cheeks.
